Uses for a Cologne Bottle

Have you ever thought about the many different uses for a cologne bottle? There are many different fun things that can be done with a cologne bottle after it has been emptied. Instead of throwing away your cologne bottles, try out some of these neat ideas.

Tapered Candle Holder

Often the opening on the top of a cologne bottle is large enough to fit a slender or tapered candle. You can place the candle in the opening and set the cologne bottle on a night stand, between bathroom vanity sinks or even on an end table in your living room. Many bottles come in various colors that would match your home décor and have very interesting and attractive shapes.

Drip Candle Bottle

A fun craft to do with a cologne bottle is to make a drip candle holder. These make wonderful gifts for the holidays, birthdays and even house warming events. You gather up partially used candles through out your home. Lay the cologne bottle wrong side up on its side over wax paper. Light one of the candles you are recycling and slowly drip wax all over the cologne bottle on the back side. Once this is complete, you drip candle wax around the top and the edges of the cologne bottle. The final step is to drip wax into the bottle opening. You can then display the drip candle bottle with the label for the cologne showing. You not only recycle candles but you can select what specific colors you would like to use to match the home décor.

Incense Oil Bottle

A fun way to recycle your cologne bottle and show off its brand is with an incense oil bottle. You fill the cologne bottle half-way with water. Add a couple drops of food coloring to match your home décor. Pour in approximately one teaspoon of scented oil. You can now set the bottle on any table that is near a lamp. When the lamp is on it gives off heat which will naturally heat the cologne bottle and the scent from the oil will softly flow into the room.

Bud Vase

Who can resist a beautiful rose? Often when we receive a single rose we have to hunt all over the house for an appropriate vase. A cologne bottle that is no longer being used makes a terrific bud vase for a rose, tulip or any other single flower. You can proudly display your bud stem on your coffee table, end tables or even as a center piece on the dining room table.
